Intake details:
The maximum number of students allowed in a specific branch or subject within an engineering college for a given academic year is known as the intake capacity which is determined by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and pertinent state bodies.

Procedure:
Performance on the Higher Secondary Certificate test or an equivalent qualifying exam determines admission to Sri Ganesh College of Engineering and Technology's engineering programs.
Counseling Process:
Conducted by the Tamil Nadu state government and through CENTAC (Centralized Admission Committee) overseen by Pondicherry University.
Management Quota Seats:
Eligible students may apply directly to the college under the management quota.
Eligibility for B.Tech Programs:
- General Category: Minimum 45% average in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry (max two attempts).
- Backward Class: Minimum 40% average in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry (max two attempts).
- SC/SCA/ST: Minimum 40% average in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry (max three attempts).
Required Documents:
- Candidates must submit the following original documents during the admission process:
- SSLC marksheet, HSC marksheet, TC, conduct certificate and Community Certificate
- Provisional certificate (for Lateral Entry Students: Diploma & B.Sc.)
- Provisional Certificate, Degree Mark Sheets, and Degree Certificate (for PG Courses)
- Nativity Certificate (for candidates from other states)
- Income Certificate (for those applying for scholarships)
- Recent Passport Size Photos (6 copies) & Recent Stamp Size Photos (6 copies)
